Can we talk?

A coworker recently posted a video on social media depicting a typical day at her job. In the video, there is a brief shot of her computer and employee health insurance records are visible on screen. But her account is set to private, so is it really that big a deal?

It is a big deal, and you should say something. The fact that you were able to identify these records means someone else could, too. A private account is no guarantee of security. You should report the video right away. We’ll take steps to ensure the data hasn’t been further compromised and to review information security practices with your colleague.
