Connecting With Respect

We Embrace a Positive and Inclusive Workplace

We connect with everyone. We believe that an inclusive workplace and a diverse workforce make us a stronger team and a more competitive company. Inclusivity is about creating an environment where all of us are respected, can contribute fully, and can be successful. All employment decisions are based on the individual’s skills, knowledge, expertise, merit, and job-related characteristics, not on their beliefs, backgrounds, appearances, or other personal characteristics.

We all have a part to play. Being a welcoming company is about more than a firm handshake and a warm greeting on an employee’s first day. It’s about making a daily commitment to embracing inclusivity and rejecting intolerance.

Can we talk?

Do not share it. Regardless of the comedian’s intent, sharing offensive jokes, comments, social media posts, or other materials in the workplace is not OK. You may see the humor in the video, but a colleague with a different background or experience may not. Remember, determining what is or is not harassment is based on how a reasonable person might interpret what you share—not your intention in sharing it.
No. As a manager, you are obligated to assess job candidates based solely on their qualifications, regardless of protected characteristics like physical disabilities. Making assumptions about the candidate’s hearing violates our policies and potentially the law. Reasonable accommodations can always be made for candidates with disabilities. Always contact Human Resources or the Legal Department with questions about accommodations.
